4S BLING BLING
And finally hello 4S. And I realise I'm addicted to apple and finding it increasingly hard to move away from it. Thank god transferring of data went well this time round! Most importantly contacts all intact. was quite reluctant to upgrade my phone because i'm worried that i might screw up my backup which i did the other time. GG
And to welcome my new phone, I bought a super chio and bling clothes for her! Happy like a don't know what because that lady boss gave me super lots of discount! WOOOTS.
CHIO RIGHTTTT! i know i know! HAHAHAHA

3 freaking more days!
Yes 3 freaking more days to Korea. Finally getting my ass outta Singapore after being grounded for a year. F long. And my duck friend is super excited about the trip that she is losing sleep. But I'm still sleeping non stop everyday.
Procrastination kills. Spent the whole afternoon researching for places to go and exact location. And yea finally itinerary up! Success-kid.jpeg
My first trip that I need to plan and research, am normally the follower. Jin chai go where also can. But apparently this time my travel mate even more Jin chai than me! Holycrap. Am definitely nervous because I'm known to always lost my way and sibei blur. Oh ya did I forgot to mention I thought I'm leaving Seoul on Tuesday but my colleague JUST corrected me that 2nd may is Wednesday! Double wtf
Anyhow plans up! And it's a super free and easy relax one corner trip. But still we will have fun! CONFIRM.
Annyeonghaseyo Korea!

faith.
"Life is no straight and easy corridor along which we travel free and unhampered, but a maze of passages, through which we must seek our way, lost and confused, now and again checked in a blind alley.
but always, if we have faith, a door will open for us, not perhaps one that we ourselves would ever have thought of, but one that will ultimately prove good for us."

like us they deserve to be treated with respect.
Just finish watching one episode of frontline and my client was featured. Indeed his mum was a strong and optimistic woman who took great care of her family. Her attitude towards life is something we should learn from. No matter how hard life is, we should go forward, face it bravely and never never never never never never never give up. (: All these challenges that we faced each day will only make us stronger and not bring us down.
Caring for a disabled child is never easy but not entirely impossible. But of course there are lots of happy and fun moments too. What they need is for you to be a little more understanding and patience towards them.
Like us they yearn to be loved and love. In fact they are the one that taught me how to love and care for another human. Working with them for the past 4 years was one of the best thing that ever happened in my life.
Like us they yearn to be at home with their loves one. Home, sometimes we took for granted the love that our family showered on us. Fight and get angry with them unnecessary over silly things. Spent lesser time at home. But there are people out there who yearn to be with their love one everyday and will never have a chance to. No home to go back to. Why do we always have to look at how others are living their life to be reminded of how fortunate we are?
Like us they love to have fun. You should see how their faces light up like happy children whenever there are parties and activities or people coming down to spend time and have fun with them. And sometimes they are happy when they sees you play.
Like us they are humans too, who deserved to be treated with respect. I'm always hearing stories about how badly they are treated by people who do not understand them. They might be slow but they can learn. They are trying hard to adapt to our community, it's not easy but they are trying. The next time you decided to get angry at them or give them one of your disgusted look, maybe you should take some time to think in their position and try to understand how will they feel.
Everything happen for a reason and yes all their behavior have rational explanation. It's not their fault that they scream and shout frequently. They are not fortunate like us who are able to express ourselves easily thus they resort to screaming, hitting, shouting, banging to show their frustration. The next time you are thinking of reporting them to the police, maybe you can stop for a moment to think about the caregiver who are caring for them. How will they feel when the police came knocking on their door and it's not even their fault as sometimes things are not within their control. let's just say things happened.
Yes they are born differently from us but that doesn't make them weird but special. They are all special individuals with their own special abilities waiting for you to discover. We should never judge them base on their disabilities but know them as who they are.
Time spent with them were happy and real. I love how their faces light up whenever they sees me and it makes me even happier when they call me by my name. Or how they hold on to you to show that they trust you and treat you like family. They are simple and show genuine love, care and concern for anyone. This is something which we the normal people can't do. (:
just some random thoughts, you might not agree with whatever i said here or even understand anything but please at least be respectful and understanding towards them. they have the right to live their lifes too.
182 & 155
friends came over to SG last weekend for a holiday. walking around with 3 men with the average height of 182 is seriously no joke when i'm only 155. :'( i really need to stretch my neck when talking to them and you know my neck is short or rather i dont really have a neck. wtf. HAHAHAHA
and my irritating friend always forget that i'm there with them simply because i'm too short for him to notice. tall people only turn their head up and not down. #StoryOfAShortyLife
one very classic incident that happened while queuing up for rides at USS
staff: how many people?
Friend: 4
what about MEEEE? dafuq? it should be 5!!! (eric was there with us that day and he is around 182 too) again he forgot to look downwards and include me in. CUI! he say he is too used to looking straight and up.
i need to grow taller. I.MUST. puberty please come to mama. HAHAHAHAHA.

hang me better
i dont remember drinking that much that cause me to land myself in such an embarrassing situation. more about that later. anyway i only remember drinking a glass of wine and maybe 2 glass of vodka cranberries and resulted me in non stop puking for the whole freaking morning? i can definitely drink more than that and still be sober. HAHAHAHAH #likeaboss
anyway what happened to me earlier got to be the most embarrassing moment of my life. was training to work this morning and train was a bit shaky and i started to feel really uncomfortable at amk, decided to alight the train but i couldnt make it out in time! TRAIN DOOR CLOSE ON ME. so close. dafuq. so i thought it's ok, hopefully i can tahan till bishan since it's quite near? but what happened next was unbelievable.. the urge to puke got really strong, first round of puke came out and i quickly SHUT my mouth TIGHT to prevent the water from dripping out. and no i didnt sallow my puke in case you are wondering... and i thought i was safe till my body decided to screw me up my giving me another round of puke. so yes i couldn't take it anymore and just let out everything on to the flooooor. ULTIMATE FML. the guy beside me was quite 'cool. he just turn round to see and turn back after that. and i feel so pathetic and not forgetting PAISEH. GGGGG. CUI. one very kind auntie quickly walked over and offered me tissue. gam dong max. :') and seriously no more next time.
was looking for quick fix in the morning so i googled "most effective way to cure hangover" and the result? "the best way to cure a hang over is not to drink too much in the first place." EPIC GOOGLE SEARCH IS EPIC.

and i'm a volunteer
spent one friday morning with the folks from IMH and yes it was definitely one interesting session. for once i'm a volunteer and not a volunteer coordinator, i do not have to worry about the expectation of my volunteers, worried if they are enjoying themselves, etc and just concentrate on interacting with the folks there. nice. :)
as usual all the folks were really excited to see us when we approach the ward. excited hands were out waiting for us to shake it and they greeted us with their brightest smile. for sure this is something you wont get to see outside. we rarely smile to stranger or anyone anymore and are always hostile towards one another. :( always feel really welcome whenever i'm with them and especially with my residents too. they are so real, always smiling and happy. something which some of us find it hard to achieve. and they never fail to spread their joy to me too.
little things can make them really happy. i spent the day doing colouring with one uncle and mahjong when another folk jio me . HAHAH. see volunteering can be that fun! YOU GET TO MAHJONG!!! and that uncle who jio me for mahjong is damn pro! you should see how he guide the other volunteer to play! he cant talk so the whole time he was gesturing here and there and i helped to translate a bit. likeaboss yo! HAHAHA
anyway back to this uncle i was doing colouring with, i saw him just scribbling drawings on his paper and writing in chinese.
(does it look like abstract art to you?)
went over to talk to him and decided to add a little colours to his life. :)
thought him to add different colour to it and yes i helped him with it too. of course it's an easy task for me but definitely not for him as i can see im struggling to complete it. lots of encouragement was given from me to prompt him to continue colouring and yes he did it eventually! everyone of us need a little bit of encouragement to keep us going everyday. so be VERY GENEROUS with your encouragement and best of all it's FREEE!!
he gave it to me as 'farewell' gift and even wrote my name on it. sweet. :)

SEE! ALWAYS TURNING AWAY! :(
and so im forced to hold her head to prevent her from turning awaaaaay!
SUCCESSKID.jpeg but somehow she looooks a little unhappy and i confirm look happier than her! HAHAHAH.
little bun is 1 year 4 months old todaaaay! time flies and it's more than half a year since she stayed with us, totally a part of me naaoo! she follows me every where i go even when i'm shitting she will wait outside the toilet for me. dont judge me! HAHAHA and when i'm in my room, she will wait and 'moan' outside my door for me to let her in. hide and seek is definitely our favourite game! HEHEHE and she still loves to lick my face and steps all over my body when i'm sleeping. irritating but forgivable.
i look forward to many more silly moments with you and we shall continue to irritate each other. :D
